SIGOTT aims to organize at least once a year a meeting to promote the information exchange in the field of tissue transplantation for ophthalmic surgery.
Upcoming meetings
The next meetings are organized by NIIOS, founder of SIGOTT, and NIIOS USA. We focus on the latest developments and insights in the field of corneal transplantation, such as (advanced) DMEK and Bowman layer transplantation.
- Friday May 5th, 2017, in Los Angeles (the evening will coincide with the first day of the ASCRS). Click for more information and the program.
- Friday October 6th, 2017 in Lisbon (the evening prior to the ESCRS).

Previous meetings
Copenhagen 2016 (prior to the ESCRS)
SIGOTT and NIIOS are looking back at a very successful Cornea Evening in Copenhagen, 2016. This event occurred on September 9th 2016, just prior to the Summer ESCRS, with more than 250 guests, a number of esteemed speakers and valued sponsors from all over the world. Everyone in attendance had in common an interest in the latest developments and insights in the field of corneal transplantation. After the scientific presentations were over, a piano concert concluded the event. This year’s Cornea Evening had a special touch since we also celebrated the 10-year DMEK jubilee.
Barcelona 2015 (prior to the ESCRS)
During this NIIOS DMEK meeting on September 4th 2015, we introduced SIGOTT to our guests. We thank our guests for registering as a SIGOTT member and for joining our the meeting.
